Douglas Luiz

The soonest Rodders can be back playing is May, no ifs no buts when it’s an ACL.
Rodri said himself in November that he hoped to be back before the end of the season as he was recovering well and ahead of schedule.

Like you say, it’s an ACL so we’ll see.

Why chase Zubimendi when he clearly didn’t want to leave Spain? Unless he has changed his mind and if that has happened, you would think he would want to come now before we buy someone else in the summer.

I would love to know how far Rodri is away from coming back. I don’t mean playing game after game but training with the team.

The hole he left exposed our aging/fatigued squad.

It’s interesting. I can get the CB need. I can get we need a Haaland backup/someone who can play along the front.

I still can’t see why we haven’t went in big for a dm.

Might not be popular but I would take that mainoo if that’s real and not a negotiating tactic.
More recent reports suggest Zubi regretted his decision not to move to Liverpool but at the same time doesn’t want to leave Spain mid-season.

If he’s having the op where they fashion a ligament out of a bit of your hammy, it takes the better part of a year for those fibres to solidify into ligament I think, so May ain’t happening…..unless of course Rodders has magic hamstrings

I think he’s had his op and he’s walking about now.

I wouldn’t be in any rush to get him back, even if we are crap without him.

he didn't stay cause of an issue with a work permit wasn't it?

Zubemendi woukd also be the player for me....Big issue however is that seemingly he fiesnt want to continue..already turned down the scousers ( who whether you like it or not are a big pull for players).

You have seen the result of sticking with what we have for the last few months....midfield has been woeful and the biggest part of the problem ..new players in is the only way to solve that...Gundo is finished. Rico ain't good enough in midfield and mo matter how hard Bernardo works he ain't a DM....neither is Nunes or Kovacic

Stay as we are we finish outside the top 6 easily. Don’t let the last couple of wins fool you......
Correct. He couldn’t get a work permit with us as he wasn’t a Brazil international then and wasn’t in the required top x % of earners for us, but was at Villa

He might have meant the club World Cup?
I think his words were 6/7 months from the injury which would mean March/April. It would be an absolute miracle if he did come back for then, so I’d say the CWC is more realistic.
