I haven’t either, EB. I don’t tend to watch TV doctor/dietary programmes though.

Most diets are pointless. If you want to lose weight, exercise more and eat less. Therefore, unless there are allergies involved, what you eat isn’t that important. (Within reason)

I’m not sure how I would ever get to the point where I needed to ring a TV programme to ask a doctor something. It’d be no different to googling your symptoms.

This guy sounds like a decent chap that has largely meant well, so I hope for a good outcome for him and his family.

Our family often listen to him on the radio. He has a good programme just one thing which gives recommendations to improve your health.

More understandable not to take your phone for a walk in a area you know well, less so when he's hiking in a steep barren island where you might more easily get lost, or into difficulty.
 
He invented the 5:2 intermittent fasting diet if that rings a bell for people who dont think they have heard of him , he has been making health doco for a long time
