Drink driving

I’m 4 weeks in Christmas going to be tough I like a good glass of wine. Having Xmas dinner on our own and limiting to an hour a house as everyone else will be pissed. Getting unwell due to so,etching else made me realise I was wasting my life away. Aas you say hobbies to fill time. I will be playing golf and walking on my 2 week Xmas break. The weight is falling off me as well and I’m hardly fat to begin with. Best of luck to you. Kudos.

Do things you enjoy and don't be afraid to try completely new hobbies. We get one shot at this life, 70 odd years if we are one of the lucky ones. Why on earth would we decrease that chance by putting substance in our bodies.

Most of us have enough wit and charm to have a great time without being pissed, it's just years of British culture has brainwashed us into thinking otherwise. We are practically born with a beer in our hands. Alcohol is a great social lubricant when dosed appropriately, I could never get the dosage right. No matter which way you look at it, if it was brought out today, it would be banned by Monday. Ruins so many lives.

If you're not honest with yourself, how can you be honest with others. That is the first step to any form of redemption or a fulfilled life. Perfection is nigh on impossible, but are you being honest with the man in the mirror? If not, make a fucking change now before it's too late. If you've still got air in your lungs, it's not too late. Whether that's being a better family man, brother, son, or getting off the ale or other substances. You owe it to yourself first and foremost. If my small insight sows the seed for one person to make a better decision, then I've done my job.

I don't condone drinking and driving but it's gotten out of hand here in the US. If you have two beers you're probably over the legal limit so it just comes down to who the police want to pull over. I forget who it was but I once heard a comedian ask "If it's illegal to drink and drive why do bars have parking lots?"

There should be a difference between somebody who is hammered and somebody who had a couple beers.

Two pints of 5% lager put you perilously close to the limit here.
