Almost sums up my youth perfectly, apart from the White Lightning. It was Merrydown for me. Less of a hangover.

Haha, the first time i ever went to the bar I asked for "3 pints of beer please". He took one look at me and said "on yer bike sonny"

The Mrs and I used to demolish Moscow Mules at a rapid rate of knots as 17 year olds.
Pints of Belhaven Seahorse Lager and lime used to slip down a treat as well after football. I seem to remember the pre school disco parties consisted of a great many voddy and limes.

Haven’t drunk any of those in the last 45 years.

Drinks were not aimed at youngsters like alchopops are today. It was a case of, well it was a case of anything that got me pissed really, except I didn't need a case. The only drink I have never drank since projectile vomiting in my late teens early 20s was Bacardi. I drank a quarter bottle after about 6 pints of Tennant's extra. It wasn't a pretty site in the basement of the Birch disco in Ashton.
