I agree. It seems a disproportionate response made in haste to an awful incident to me.

Destroying your capital doesn’t seem sensible to me, but as I said, I’ll wait to see what actually happened first.

Do you understand the meaning of citizen? My wife is a British citizen but wasn’t born here. My nan is a British citizen but wasn’t born here.

I wouldn't get your hopes up from what I have seen. Embarrising if this is supposed to some kind of social uprising. All the same, while I think all of this is mental, immigration is out of control here.

They’ve been waiting for a reason. Unfortunately they’ve been given the literal perfect one. Young kids stabbed by somebody who fits their current description of what’s gone wrong?? It might get settled at a later date but those out right now don’t give a fuck and my guess is a weekend of madness.

Forgive my naivety on this subject as I haven’t really been taking much of an interest but how are people getting to Ireland and then staying there. Why has it been allowed ?

The truth is Dublin is rough as fuck outside the tourist spots. Hard people living hard lives mainly. There’s been a ticking time bomb that’s been getting close to zero for a long time and now in true countdown fashion we are at the dededededededede..ohhhh

Seems counterproductive to burn your capital, if money is already tight.

I don't have an answer for that, it seems to me the government are trying to look good by opening the doors to them, despite doing genuine asylum seekers a disservice by accepting them, and then having no where for them to go when they get here.

You’re asking the wrong person mate. As I’m sure you know.
I’m just giving an opinion from an outsider who has family, friends, allies enemy’s and all in between in that part of the world.
My experience of Dubs though is that they will drag this **** out until every shop is robbed and every penny extracted and if they make a political point it’s a bonus..

Are they flying to Ireland though. I wouldn’t have thought it was easy to get to by boat.

It will be a one night thing, don’t get a chubby on about it, the problem is as ever the disparity between parts of the country which is overwhelmingly rural and affluent, and larger centres of population like Dublin and Cork which in places are still poor as they ever were
