So, a foreigner stopped it?It's been reported, not confirmed, that it was a Brazilian who took on and disarmed the attacker earlier in the afternoon.

I think you’ve misinterpreted the meaning of his post tbf.You say that 5 got stabbed in a bit of a cunty way if you don’t mind me saying. In fact I don’t care, that’s such a shit take I’m going to ignore you pal.
It wouldn’t have mattered. It’s how it was perceived and reported on Twitter and WhatsApp etc.No one knows the context of what happened, it more likely to be a custody or martial dispute than a terrorist attack considering the guy lived in Ireland for 20 years, it was a terrible crime but I don’t understand the rioting in response, would they have rioted if the guy was born and bred Irish?
No, no and no again. They have been waiting for this mate. Today, rightly or wrongly and it’ll always be wrongly the council estate uneducated will rebel. No one knows the context of what happened, it more likely to be a custody or martial dispute than a terrorist attack considering the guy lived in Ireland for 20 years, it was a terrible crime but I don’t understand the rioting in response, would they have rioted if the guy was born and bred Irish?
I'm in one of those so called rough spots now. I can't speak for everyone but the majority here seem to utterly condemn what is happening outside. Others worried about their kids as its obviously frightening to some of them, and how to get to work tomorrow, or if even they even can.The truth is Dublin is rough as fuck outside the tourist spots. Hard people living hard lives mainly. There’s been a ticking time bomb that’s been getting close to zero for a long time and now in true countdown fashion we are at the dededededededede..ohhhh
Maybe.I think you’ve misinterpreted the meaning of his post tbf.
Unfortunately the loud angry people of the world get noticed more than the law abiding.I'm in one of those so called rough spots now. I know it was a shocking disgusting attackYou say that 5 got stabbed in a bit of a cunty way if you don’t mind me saying. In fact I don’t care, that’s such a shit take I’m going to ignore you pal.
I think they'd be very disappointed if it was suddenly announced that the offender was a white Irishman. But why waste a good riot....No, no and no again. They have been waiting for this mate. Today, rightly or wrongly and it’ll always be wrongly the council estate uneducated will rebel.
2. One of the ladies was a tourist ( possibly American)So, a foreigner stopped it?
Tensions are high mate. I’m gonna stop from commenting because I’m sat in Spain atm and even though I think I can talk with authority I can’t, I’m going off second hand videos and info and ultimately it doesn’t concern me.I know it was a shocking disgusting attack
In no way am I defending it
I just don’t see how rioting and looting shops is going to achieve anything
If anything it’s taking the media attention away from the scummy act this afternoon
There are quite a few foreigners abroad actually.I’d gladly move abroad. Too many immigrants here :-)
It seems the man taken to hospital was the perpetrator who was disarmed by members of the public and unsurprisingly had the living shit kicked out of him. What an utter **** attacking defenceless schoolgirls and women.Yep. There’ll be plenty of time to shout stuff at each other when the facts have been established.
What we know
Police in Dublin say violent clashes are ongoing between officers and what they describe as "far-right" protesters.
- The violence is happening near where members of the public - including children - were injured in a knife attack this afternoon in the city centre
- Officers with riot shields and batons have clashed with members of the crowd, and a number of police vehicles have been damaged
- It's not clear what caused the unrest
- A man who’s been arrested in connection with the knife attack earlier today is also receiving treatment for serious injuries, and police say they aren’t looking for anyone else
- Helen McEntee, Ireland’s justice minister, said a “thuggish and manipulative elements must not be allowed to use an appalling tragedy to wreak havoc”
All true, but then there’s genuine fucking anger at the incident that kicked it off.
Looting isn’t going to win an argument granted but Dublin has been a powder keg waiting to go off for a little while.
