I can't believe some people on here want to sell Dunny. Dunne has been the player of the year for 4 years on the bounce, he is a muched loved player and has been loyal to us for so long.

Even if he isn't a top 4 starter, he certainly good enough for the top 6 after his past years performances, and once in the top 4, what a centre half to have as a back up as liverpool have with hypia.

People complain about loyalty of players, and there just in it for the money, but by the sound of things you can't blame them for seeking money, as one poor season from dunne, and were crying for his head, no loyalty for him when he's shown so much to us.

People may say he looked good in a bad team, but last year he still won the player of the year even with the likes of petrov and elano in the ranks and finishing 9th.

Granted he's not having the best year for us, but you don't go shit over night, and the previous four years have shown he's certainly not shit. Come on Dunny.

I've always rated the dunnie monster. Not been much of a Captain this year but has played pretty well with Ned. I wouldn't replace him though.

Dunne was poor for most of the second half of last year and has been an asbolute monstrosity this year - one of the worst players in the league. He's a weak link now and must be replaced.

my take on dunny's performances this season is; he looks terrible when covering for bling king micah or no tackle bridge but solid as ever in his own position, think the tackle that got him sent off thursday was in the rb spot! he had to make it as micah was still trudging back in their half!

but sentiment will not deliver silverware and i believe an overhaul of the defence is dire needed with exception of ned.

The spotlight is on us more so unfortunately every mistake is magnified, however so are bits of brilliance - hence Dunne and Ireland.

As the standard of the team improves, players are going to fall by the wayside. Unfortunately Dunne falls into this category. Whilst we were floundering in the bottom half of the Prem, his performances stood out. He still made mistakes, it's just that we always had other players making more mistakes. Not so anymore.

He's true blue, all heart but unfortunately turns like the titanic and as we step up and play higher quality, quick, agile, forwards in seasons to come - he will be targeted by opposition managers.
