Dunney

Pull the trigger roberto and bring him back.

We need depth for the run in and we need blues.

The way dunne was treated is a scar on our club and needs to fix that.

Situation requires us to get a centre back in ASAP and I would love for dunne to be part of our run in.

Likely won't happen but I can dream,it would be fitting!

Are you mad? Haven't you seen him play at all this season, over weight and out paced by most forwards, better off nicking Samba from Blackburn as I feel Kolo may be away this summer anyway.

I'd rather we went for Cahill tbh. The price is now right and with VK out, Kolo away (and very possibly off in the summer) we should be looking at a longer term solution.

I'll ignore the stupid childish posts from these fools and focus on this one.

Cahills hugely overrated.

He only has ten! Tackles this season.

That's fair enough, I don't think he is world class or anything, I just think he is a reasonably decent Premier League defender. Decent in the air, is no slouch and is ok with the ball at his feet. Personally, I'm happy with VK and Lescott as the first choice partnership but I reckon Kolo will be off permanently fairly soon and I think we need someone who can be rotated occasionally or come in when needed who has experience like Kolo does now. Savic could be anything, I'd be more content now if I thought Cahill would be stepping in for VK. His price has halved since the summer, I think it would be good business. I figure we will be looking for competition/back up at a reasonable price not a top class centre half for 30 million to replace Lescott.

Dunny did make mistakes and certainly scored the odd goal into our own net but overall I thought the guy was solid and when he hit a striker he hit him! I'd love to see him on the squad again.

So yes!!!

You're all forgetting this man...

I am and always have been a big fan of Dunne. I don't watch many Villa games but I have watched him for Ireland many time and he has been outstanding for them. Particularly in that game against Russia. He was our captain and player of the season before we let him go. If you ask me he is better than Lescott. I doubt he would come back after the way he was treated. He will want to stay a villa so he can player every week to be ready for Euro 2012. He is also playing with his Irish mates, Given, Clark and Robbie Keane at Villa so he won't be going anywhere

I loved the dunster, still do tbh. I just feel he is getting on a bit and we need a bloke who has it for 90mins now in that position.
Saying that, as mentioned, there are still not many as good as him.

So my heart says yes. My head says maybe.

I very much agree with...

"The way dunne was treated is a scar on our club and needs to fix that."

I would like that fixed.

Just so you know my loyalties on this, growing up it went 1, Kinky 2, Dunmonster.
