City must be extremely confident that they can get Haaland. To not try for Vlahovic

Or we knew he had his heart set on Juventus abd stopped all interest there, regardless of Haaland.

So it seems it Was a goodbye 'wave' then from Vlahovic, not a missed penalty apology.

And Fiorentina say bye to him too.

Seen a few worse ones going about. Looks too far gone not to happen in January now.

Fiorentina reportedly have agreed a 14m deal to bring in Artur Cabral from Basel as his replacement.

Morata supposedly waiting on a plane to Barcelona, moving as soon as Vlahovic is announced by Juventus. Torres was their main striker for all of 2 weeks (if it happens).

Arthur Cabral is a pretty great catch for them. Deadly, doing great at Basel, has a future for sure. I’m a fan.

Morata at Barcelona is good for us.

Maybe our club already know what Vlahovic wants and makes not attempt to pursue him. No wonder there's no link reliable, only just monitoring.

Anyone know why we didn't go in for him? Seems strange

Probably because he had his heart set on Juventus since last summer. Thus was clained then, and thereafter his agent said they had a deal in place that still stood when Fiorentina would decide to sell.

I think the club is basically going all in on Håland/Kane, and if they cant get either they decided to take a chance on that Alvarez could to the same job as Vlahovic for a quarter of the price.

Like I wrote about a month ago in this thread, Vlahovic is currently ticking every unsustainable box on the planet in how many goals he scores as a result from his performances. Loads of pens boosting his goal tally, combined with a huge over performance in expected goals this season which means he has either become the most lethal striker of all time this season, or more likely are just having a good spell when just about everything goes in. At the end of December he had scored 16 goals this season from a non-penalty xG of just 5.71. Sure he doesnt play for the best team in the league, but they are still a top7 side. In a league far worst than PL, like Lukaku is the most recent example of. Too soon to tell if he will become a new Ibrahimovic or a new Belotti.

I think he without a doubt is a good prospect, who could become great. But I doubt he would come in and immediately be a better option as striker than Foden. And it seems like Txiki agrees.
