I've recently been made aware that I'm likely to have Dyscalculia. I've done online tests and the results show it's very likely that I do have it, which would make sense as I've always struggled with anything maths related.

I was wondering if anyone on here has it and if you have any suggestions for how to get it confirmed, (did you see a GP etc) and are there any resources, or apps that you find helpful for dealing with it?

Having gone my whole life assuming maths just aren't my strong point, it's been a bit of a relief to know there might actually be a reason for it. I always put it down as one of those things. I doubt it's going to change much as I'm nearly 40, but nonetheless any advice or resources people might be able to share would be much appreciated.

Here's some more information for anyone who might be interested:

Thanks in advance.
Become a politician or a journalist. Not one of them has the first clue about numbers, what they mean, whether they’re big numbers or not and whether they’re relevant.

Maths and English have never been an issue for me. My problem has always been art. As much as I try, I'm absolutely useless at it.

Used to really irritate me how if you struggled with Maths, English or Science then there was help available, but with art it was a case of everyone can do it and you just weren't trying hard enough.

I attended a dyslexia awareness training day when working for a training provider aimed at getting to be more aware of hidden learning differences in our service users, after taking all the diagnostics the instructor told me i was dyslexic and would benefit from seeing an educational psychologist to gain an official diagnosis, i really didn't fancy jumping through all the hoops so never bothered. However it did explain why i struggled at school with handwriting, maths, telling left from right and still not being able to learn my times tables or remember my kids birthdays.
