Dzeko's celebrations

Now I'm really not trying to start trouble or anything. just want to point out something I've noticed. The last 3 times Dzeko scored he doesn't celebrate the way he usually does by running with his arms spread and celebrating with the fans. I've followed Dzeko's career for years and have never seen him celebrate differently until the last 3 goals he scored. For whatever reason, he is more subdued, almost like he's carrying a huge burden and chooses to celebrate with his teammates. I think this shows how frustrated he's been, and perhaps that he hears too much shit from SOME fans who think that 17 goals for City this year are somehow not good enough and needs to be rid of. I honestly think there is something to this. The good thing is that his teammates like him and there is true team spirit about this squad. Look at the way Balo went crazy yesterday when Aguero assisted Dzeko for the 3rd goal.

He has been struggling these past few weeks so a nice subtle celebration was best. Didn't want to run around like a lunatic when he knows himself he hasn't been at the top of his game.

Good decision and goal from Edin yesterday :)

It is because he has been struggling, and he knows it. Whether things are not clicking for him personally and he is generally off the ball at the moment, only he will know.

Think your looking a bit too much into this. He's just struggled a bit for goals recently and you can see the release of frustration when he scores. Don't be overly concerned by it. Every bit of footage i see of him shows a guy who is happy and enjoying his time at the club. The manager is backing him and that counts a lot for a player.

He gets nothing but the best support from the fans, always sing his name even if he is playing shite; so that bollocks of fans getting on his back is pure and utter tripe. It's up to him now to pull it out of the bag.

I think it was because of the set-up from Sergio - he pointed at him as if to say "that's your goal really".

And the goal was a tap-in, he'd have looked stupid if after Aguero had skinned two players and put it on a plate for him he'd have run off like he's scored a screamer.

OP is referring to all the Shite threads on here about Dzeko and how he should go.

Had it been the winning goal I'm sure there would have been a ''bigger'' reaction. but it was the 3rd goal and as mentioned, very, very unselfish work from Kun (Tevez would never have passed it) is what was being acknowledged more than the goal itself.
