Looks like the earth is trying to get rid of us humans. The worry about that region is the following tsunamis.

The earthquake has set off tsunami warnings in the neighbouring countries of Japan and the Philippines.

I'm currently in Taiwan on the southern tip, a place called Kenting. We felt the aftershock from this and received a tsunami warning on my phone. A pretty scary way to wake up.
