I regularly use the Sheffield to st Pancras train to get to Leicester, it leaves on time, never arrives on time, but coming back it never leaves on time either.
First class is one cup of coffee or tea, what a joke.

Usually no.
Our head office is a ten minute walk from the station in the start of the university grounds which is really nice. There are a few decent bars/restaurants in a small centre of the city.
However Thursday night I stayed in the usual hotel but the bar had been closed off. It was like a scene out of Channel 5's gypsy wedding. Fat girls in ridiculously tight dresses, tattooed blokes in suits which were strewn everywhere, the fire alarm was set off during dinner, idiots running round the hotel floor to floor from 11:30pm onwards and a fight broke out between the guys at midnight that spelled out onto the forecourt that carried on to the bottom of the hotel and round to the back. The fighting and shouting last until 2am with the screeching girls joining in about 1am.
Went to breakfast the next morning with about ten youngsters running round the place without supervision.

It's a lovely place.

Left Piccadilly half hour late. Only 2 carriages and packed out with Sunday evening passengers - students going back to college etc . No lights in the carriage during the journey and people standing in the aisles. Crawled into the destination an hour late.

NB whist waiting to depart Piccadilly it was announced that the train supposed to be headed for Liverpool was cancelled due to " a late timetable change"

Also, I know they are now called EMR but if anything they have got shittier since the change.

Worst train company in the world.

Please share your experience. As for me, my worst experience was with amtrak company. The trip itself was ok but the process of reservation brought me much troubles. I couldn't book a return ticket easily. I had to contact the customer support over this website to help me. It took me about 20 minutes to buy a ticket.
