Will our home ever stands ever be rocking like the maine rd apart from derby day? granted times havnt been great,, but it just doesnt seem to have the ability to get the pulses racing like our old home.. I love coms but im not sure weather its ever going to be a daunting stadium for the away team fans alike.. Dont slate me for this,, just an opinion of myself and others in mary ds.

Maine Road wasnt all that either, some people seem to have a mis-conception of this for some particular reason. The atmosphere at Eastlands is very similar to that of Maine Road. Of course there was the odd game, much like at Eastlands.

The atmos at Eastlands is embarrassingly shiyte sometimes. Have we got mote than our fair share of depressives ??

We ned a little more Viking spirit ! i.e. The situation is desperate , but not serious !!!

Get those flags out !!!
Hold those scarves aloft !!!
SING !!!!

Rose tinted glasses. I remember the atmosphere being awful at Maine Road for a lot of games, especially after the old Kippax was knocked down. Yes, when it got going it was amazing but more often than not in it's last few years there were times when it was exactly like COMS.

Getting one end of the ground with all the singers in it would be a start.
I watched the Forest game from the Colin Bell stand as I didn't get my own seat in the 110/111 area in time.
Match apart-It was utter shite.Dead.If I had to sit there every week I'd sack it tomorrow to be honest.

Totally agree normally 118 sat in the NS and the atmosphere was awful, not used to sitting dwn, that doesn't help in the slightest. Seating has ruined the atmosphere at grounds!

328 in colin bell stand. you'll find more atmosphere on the moon to be honest. tried a few times to get people singing and that, but simply got stared at and one time, i think...shushed.

derby was a fuclin embarrasment, mary d's is usually better, im in north stand but i try, if everyone on here tried we would have best atmospherer in world but were just out of line for singing incase it offends the scum

The atmosphere is shit at every Premiership ground, nature of the game these days. We're no better or no worse than other clubs. When we do well the atmosphere will be good, when we don't it'll be shit. That's just how it is.

Trying to join in with songs in the Colin Bell, people look at you like you're mad. South stand is the only place where you can sing. I much prefer away games, where our support is awesome.

The problem is theres too much snobbyness by the club in general. The stewards think that anyone having a good time is there to cause trouble and thus tell them to quieten down or in some cases evict them altogether without any prior warning.
This leaves us fans in fear of supporting our team because were intimidated to just go to the game, sit our arse on the seats for 90 minutes and then leave. Ive noticed they turn the Tannoys full blast to drown out any noise of crowd chanting prior to kick-off aswell, another intimidating move made by the club.

Maine road was shit hot.

The only team i know who would sing 'whats it like to be outclassed' and 'can we play you every week' when we're 5-0 down to arsenal
