Almost there.
The eastlands pitch is still in great condition but whatever happened to the great grass designs that used to appear week after week, is the short cut mower broke or the artist on the sick?

The manager in charge at the time decides whether he wants the patterns etc.

Keegan didn't like them and just wanted the standard horizontal stripes but when Pearce was appointed he didn't mind either way.

Guess we wont find out for a couple of weeks, when the grass has started growing naturally again and excess mowing won't damage it, whether Mancini approves of the designs or not

Yeah I have sometimes wondered the same thoughts this season, top notch pitch as it always has bee, but the whirling patterns that used to be carved on the grass don't appear anymore.

-- Thu Apr 01, 2010 1:56 pm --

Yeah I have sometimes wondered the same thoughts this season, top notch pitch as it always has bee, but the whirling patterns that used to be carved on the grass don't appear anymore.

Pitch looked superb on Monday...

I forgot about the patterns in the Pearce years... I have a memory of a goldfish LOL

The pitch patterns were the most exciting thing that happened around that time !

Patterns are cool, but the lines are good just for helping the linesman not screw up the offside call every single time.

What about doing it like the end zones in American football? Although not for the away team obviously...You could have the City crest or MCFC in the green area behind the goals...?
