The last three pages of this thread demonstrate exactly why fans shouldn't own the club. I'm pretty sure that Tolm has been possessed by the ghost of Peter Swales.

Ha Ha - not at all.

As you state, we are champions. Our spending over the next few years will be minimal in comparison to previous.

The kid is 21 and even in five years, has a massive resale value if he does the business for us.

In two years time he would be coming to City and asking for an increase anyway.

The fee is the same across the board, we just need to make sure the wages are far enough apart to seal the deal.

I believe we should always make exceptions for exceptional talents and this kid can be the difference in us retaining the title and a decent shot at the Champs League.

He worth every penny.

He's not worth an extra 1,000,000 a week in wages which he will cost in parity wages within the squad and to new transfer targets.

If Hazard gets 200k a week, why can't RVP demand 300k? Kompany 350k?

Shit, if I was Balos agent, I'd immediately be on the phone for at least parity. He's the same age and has achieved more in his career.

With FFP looming, we do not have the money to spunk. We're champions and have a young, world class squad and manager. If this isn't enough for him then so be it.

No, he hasn't.

Currently off the top of my head he has;
Three league championship medals, from two different countries
An FA Cup winners medal
A UEFA Champions League Winners medal

What has Hazard got?

I think Balotelli has won more tbh.

The problem with listing player trophies (Not that I'm disagreeing about Balotelli winning more) is that Stephan Savic currently has a Premier League winners medal..

And why are our only two wage options 110k or 200k a week? Don't we have a happy middle ground that doesn't have the squad in uproar but also secures us such an exciting young player?

Ive heard it said that Balo has won something in EVERY year of his playing career

Not true. When he was 15 playing in Serie C he didn't win much.

If Balotelli played in the Rymans league I am sure he would win the player of the month also.

After a long career well done, right to his Champions League medal and his Premier League Champions medal, I'm sure Balotelli will see an empty space. A space longing to be filled by his UNFP Player of the Month March 2010. He will live the rest of his life sinking in and out of depression, tortured by the two words. What if?

So if the agent is telling the truth (unlikely I know) wages arent an issue as terms have been agreed between all 3 clubs and the player.

So its down to potential and how easy he will get into the starting XI it seems.

I cant see rags being appealing potential wise he know s he will be most if not all their budget and their need to replace some seriously old fuckers.

But he wouldnt need to woory about getting dropped ever.

Chelski again he would walk into the first XI and they will have big bucks to spend which they need if roman as got the tatse back for it.

Us probably the hardest team to get into he'll be in competition with Silva nasri, balo, johnsone t al a far step up from competing with nani and maluda.

In daily fail % terms I';ld say chelsae 50% us 30% rags 20% which will hopefully result in a two horse race for the title next year with rags joining arsenal newcastle and spuds in the 2 from 4 battle a good 15 points or so behind.
