Yep. It might seem an odd decision at the moment but none of us know what Chelsea's plans involve. They've got a significant amount of re-building to do but Hazard could be the first of many arrivals there this summer.

Lets remember, Hazard said he wanted the no.10 shirt at the club and he joined and thats the position he wanted to play in. That is where Silva is most effective for us, in an attacking-central role, and there is no way Hazard is better than Silva at the moment. So getting Hazard probably meant putting Silva out wide, in which case it comes down to who is a better player and as said before it is undoubtedly Silva.

This is not correct, the 3 players behind the striker interchange and take turns going through the middle so we basically play with 3 number 10's, the width is proved by the full backs

Another conclusion I am jumping to, whether rightly or wrongly, is that I'm wondering if there's something else in the deal with Lille. Say, a smaller transfer fee but sending De Bruyn to Lille on loan as I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that he will be loaned out next season anyway?

Disagree, Bale is more than just a winger, we're not talking Walcott or Aaron Lennon here. Bale can play in our system and at times last year showed a real preference for cutting inside.

He can play wide obviously which can add another dimension for us that we were missing at times last year. Much better than Johnson and in regards to Hazard Bale is known quantity who has shown he can play in the PL for a top team.

Not saying Hazard won't be successful but Ligue 1 is not the PL. Personally I'd rather have Bale.
