I am not against signing top players. But surely people have to accept we have a big squad and its one super star in one out for it to work. I hazard comes in…….where is he going to play and will that mean even less time for AJ and Nasri?

Same thing with Van persie. How can people expect him to come in and no one go out and still keep the squad happy? You can never ever have 25 world class players and think they will all be happy to be in and out of the team

even if you sell AJ there still isn't enough games for someone like Hazard.

Not true. We play with two strikers, two attacking mids and two center mids. You need three starters at each position. We only have Nasri and Silva. Hazard would make it three. rotate them and they all get around 40 games per season. He also can play up top so he would serve as the fourth striker if we run into injury trouble there. Milner can move back and solidify the CM spot making De Rossi or any other CM superfluous (unless we do something like move De Jong in January).
AJ?

I don't consider AJ a starter for this team (and Bobby doesn't either). And I would sell him in a heartbeat this January. His value is only going to go down. If he hasn't made it by this age, he is not going to. Hazard is already better and has 2-3 years to improve into a world class attacker. AJ will at best be a first 11 player for a mid-table English team.

Easy.

This is sublime fantasy football but I can't help feeling that team would be exploited by smarter Premier League teams. No Barry, Milner, or De Jong to help protect the defence, lots of lightweight players and only Yaya as any sort of strong midfielder. Might work against Blackburn and Wigan though but gaping holes in the midfield were exploited by Chelsea, Fulham, Bayern, and Napoli.

I still believe Shaqiri would be a way better option for us.
First of all he is a team player, something hazard lacks.
He would cost 3 times less both in transfer and probably wages.
Hazard would not be too happy about all the rotation, or at least i don't think so, where as Shaqiri is a very calm, smart and handles pressure well, reminds me abit about our own captain in character.

What the???? I mean seriously what the?!?
Have you ever seen Hazard play? Because that statement couldn't be further from the truth.
I'm a keen follower of him since I saw him tear the European U17 Championship up when he was just 16, running circles around the Dutch, English and Spanish teams. Hardly a game goes by where I don't see him in action. He's all about playing for the team, dropping in deep, providing link-up play, building the attacks...

When you look at his stats they aren't that great at first sight. Not that many goals, nor assists. But when you take some other numbers into account, you really notice what kind of player he is.

Last year he was:
The most fouled player in the Ligue 1, almost twice as much as Nene who was 2nd.
Had the most passes in the opposing half, again with a very, very high difference compared to the next in line.
Had the most succesfull dribbles.
The most chances created.
...

There were some other statistics he topped which I don't recall. But for those who don't follow him that closely, these numbers give some insight in the fact that he is all about being a team player...

Sure, especially if Kompany taps him up a bit.
But as a fan of Hazard, I'd rather have him go to the Spain or Arsenal. Think he fits better with that type of play.

Unless City start playing the possession gmae more frequently as they did against Stoke. Wondering which path City is going to take in the future, seeing the more powerfull English based football full of drive and physical beasts coming up short against the tippytappy of Barcelona. His signing could be an indication which style City is going to adopt in the future to compete with those toptier teams for CL-glory.

But if Real comes knocking at the same time I think he'll choose them over City. Zidane being the idol of Hazard, as so many kids in the French youth academies, personally advising you the Real management tips the balance.

The first battle between City and Madrid were for Aguero's signature and City won that battle, hopefully City can do the same for Hazard signature.

You can have your opinion, and i have mine.
I still believe Shaqiri would play better in the blue shirt then harazard.
Hazard is a great player, well more like a fantastic player already, but shaqiri in my opinion would suit us A LOT better.

Hi's physique is better suited for the prem, he would cost less both in transfer and wages, plus i don't think he would moan if he got benched cause of bad form.
Hazard might be a good team player, but nothing compared too shaqiri's work rate on and off the ball.

Why would we loan him back? Unless Mancini doesn't want another Dzeko situation of trying to bed a foreigner into a new league at a crunch time for us. But if we signed him on a 4 1/2 year contract as is typical for January signings, that would mean we'd be tossing away half a year of his contract right away.

If he can really be signed for £25m then that'd be close enough to what we sell Tevez for if we can actually sell him. Or would we sell Johnson (are the Dippers naive enough to bid £20m for Johnson with Dalglish being an admirer?) and then use the Tevez money to buy a defender?
