No point in announcing the transfer today, it would just distract from the fact the rags were snubbed by their no1 nailed on target.
 
This is a great signing, he will become one of the very best, and fast! The player has announced the move, as has Benfica so relax it's just round the corner that City will officially announce the transfer. Will we make it 3 in a week and get Mendy too.... yes please

Meanwhile over on the Caf, they reckon they've turned down a £60 mill bid for De Gea from Real. They reckon he's worth £80-£100 mill and because they are in drivers seat because of the length of time remaining on his contract, Real can pay up or fuck (sorry, feck) off.

This seems a long time for the FA to scrutinize the paperwork including the third part stuff. Conspiracy theory - payback time for the FA's England keeper? Don't the FA also have a hand in work permit applications as well?

You need to chill out. Some transfers are a little more complex than others, like third party ownership.
By the way it's the 2nd June in case you hadn't noticed, so relax.
 
I see the Telegraph United section (formally Telegraph Football section) had a pop over the fact that Mendes gets £7m of the fee as the third party owner.
You really couldn't make it up! How many Rag players does Mendes have a finger in the pie off over at Old Toilet? How many articles on Mendes cut if those transfers? (Don't bother looking it up, the answer is 0)

You've still completely missed the point, I was taking the piss out of the guy who said it was 110% going to be announced at teatime for like the third day running.
