No point singling out individuals.

When we win we win as a team , when we lose we lose as a team.
This is the Dzeko thread so you should expect to see him singled out.

I have as someone we should back to the hilt like every other player when they step on the pitch whether its from the start or whether he comes on in second half injury time.

Not singling you out gudg but those who want him out when he is below par are by and large the same ones that give him the tag legend should he score a goal that results in us getting 3 points.

Some middle ground would be more welcome.

Some of the comments on here about Edin being shite, crap etc are a disgrace.

But then again there have been recent threads on Bluemoan slating Kolo, Samir and Javi. No doubt Edin will move on and be a great success elsewhere. Over the years City fans have slagged off the following, who all went on to prove the fans wrong -

Joe Corrigan - went on to play for England and a City legend
Tony Towers - went on to play for Sunderland and England
Ian Bowyer - went on to win the European Cup with Forest
Colin Barrett - went on to win the European Cup with Forest
Paul Power - went on to win the Premiership with Everton

I have no doubt that Edin will go on to great success elsewhere and once again prove the fans wrong.

The problem is that people (humans, generally) are not happy with what they have, until they LOSE IT.

People on this board do not understand how lucky they are to have Edin Dzeko as a third-choice striker.

Once he is gone and someone far worse than him comes in - then they'll recognize it.

Re: Edin Dzeko legend

I read these threads with a great amount of amusement.

It's quite simple, you back every player in your team. You are not the manager, you haven't won the FA Cup, the Community Shield or the Premiership with these players - of which all have hard a part to play.

Enough said really.

Re: Edin Dzeko legend

With 30 minutes to go Edin came on and showed good movement, held it up well and put a header just over the bar.

The goal was a punt out and Edin took it well on his thigh , controlled it and played it out to the wing. He then took 3 defenders with him to the near post. Silva put in a great cross and Barry then had a one on one with Shorey and out jumped him. Shorey didn't appear to jump.

Barry then celebrated by running to the corner flag with the East Stand. Edin and others then sprinted over to celebrate wildly with Barry and team-mates at the corner flag.

Reading had every man behind the ball today, Rekik had a good debut, Zaba MOM and Nastacic played well.
