Transver Tavern is no site and it's funny that you keep bringing it, I guess 95% (at least) people here never heard for it.
As long as you guess everything must be OK then.
Keep bringing it ? I just replied, we do that when discussing something, right !?
But why should I stop doing that !? Why shouldn't I remind you on such a blatantly agressive and disparaging attitude toward Edin in English media, which is quite often the case ...

No not vilified - people just suggested he should be put into asylum (Iain Dowie at Sky panel discussing Tevez at Munich, of course Tevez was criticized in pretty much normal tone for what he done, while Edin was characterized as a lunatic !); then compared with Ibra with interesting conclusion that their common trait is being Bosnian and ugly (!!!), with no talent for football (Ryan Smith at Transfer Tavern).

Should I throw some more of the equal ugly characterizations from media, only more recent ?
Transfer Tavern? The hell is that?

Don't recall anyone calling him a lunatic either, or ugly, or Ibra bosnian for that matter.

I didn't say "someone", I said Iain Dowie at Sky, in front of camera - Transfer Tavern and their columnist Ryan Smith who judged Dzeko and Ibra on the basis of their Bosnian ethnicity (Smith, young Arsenal striker few years ago went to MSL) - they are on-line just use your preferred search engine....
Like I said, I don't remember anyone calling him a lunatic.

Also, you're classing TransferTavern as English media?

I'm not guessing, it's a phrase, I'm sure about it.

Re: Edin Dzeko legend

He's playing quite well. He's got much more ability than he's been displaying over the last year but he's playing quite well at the moment.

His one touch passing is poor but I think he tries to do it because his first touch is often intercepted and it looks like he's got a poor first touch so he'll try a fist time pass. I don't think he has got a poor first touch, I just think he's got slow feet off the mark and defenders will jump in between him and the ball after his first touch as they are quicker off the mark.

Other than that he's putting in good effort and getting a fairly good overall product from it.

Would like to see him keep his place and see how we'll be plays after a run of consecutive starts, get the rustiness out of him.

Re: Edin Dzeko legend

Apparently Dowie said after the Munich match, "the lunatics are running the asylum"

Very different to what you suggested santasa

I can't maintain this argument with hundreds of examples, obviously. You need to be objective as possible and if you watch from the outside its helpful in making some sort of broader picture.
But heres' one recent example - we all know that Hernadez scored two or three goals more then Dzeko coming from the bench, yet media attached to Edin that pretty much unappreciative if not humiliating label "super-sub", with all the media filled with titles and discussions in a tone of relief - they finally found the place that fits Edins reputation, and I mean reputation according most of journalists and pundits. They practically made it circus of that "super-sub" idea.
But no one, nowhere ever mentioned Hernandez as "super-sub", whose place is on the bench, and who can score only when given last couple of minutes. And all that with entire studies and philosophical debates, which we heard in case of Edin !
Herandez was eventually mentioned, but as a back up story, background for degrading Dzeko !

You are embarrassing. Super-sub is certainly not a "humiliating" label, and I've seen no article (from any semi-respectable outlet) that suggested otherwise. There have actually been a few that harped on the importance of the role to the team. Also, little dick has been in the papers countless times for his qualities as a super-sub so I don't know where you've been looking.

And stop bringing up transfer tavern as some type of paragon of journalism, nobody knows what that is because its a random blog like the thousand others that exist on the internet.

Little dick is I assume Hernandez ?
Anyhow, you should really try to restrain your self of imputing me something i never did. I mentioned TT once, and then replied to "pudge" with quotations of that post !!! Thats' a proper way of discussing things on forum, I believe.

I also know that this is pointless, since those thinking of Edin as fairly treated will always find a way to excuse, explain or justify all those "random blogs", and pretend that they are not representative of the general mood and attitude toward Dzeko in England. I don't know what is then !?

What is then proper, exemplary journalism, if you do not except those articles of worst kind regarding Dzeko, also while you are aware of the limitation of this place for any substantial and thorough argumentation.

I have some examples of distinguished authors and columnist, some of course better then other, on the subject of PL & European football, whose articles actually proving that Edin was and still is treated unfairly, and completely underrated and unappreciated, since the day he entered PL football - from Jonathan Wilson, Kevin Palmer, Thomas Atzenhoffer, Ben Ireland, James Martin, Alex Woo, Stephen Tudor, ... - it's rather a long list, BUT all of them are impelled to write in defence of Dzeko. One MUST ask himself why, why these authors/columnists, when writing about Dzeko, always write in his defence !?!?
