I like Dzeko but telling us to shhhh when he has missed 90% of his shots pisses me off. Him and Hart cost us the league.

Third choice striker and a goal keeper cost us the league, it gets better and better everyday on here.

He is are top goalscorer in the league ?

Every tall striker in our recent history have been judged as shit by city fans, just fans who don't understand they have different strengths than passing intricately. Posters on here think Dzeko is average, you don't realise how many clubs were in for Dzeko, he is one of the best strikers in that category. He has been let down by City so much, straight up he hasn't been given the chance to fully lead citys attack which is what he was renowned for in a top bundesliga side. He has to leave City now which I fully understand but to say hes useless is mental. He will do well at whatever club he goes to I guarantee. If he ended up somewhere like arsenal or Napoli like reported we'll be wondering why we swapped Cavani for Dzeko. Cavani is a better player but he will struggle with the same problems as Dzeko. Will just end up giving Cavani more patience because hes more extravagant.

+1

I keep seeing comments like this, are there any strikers out there that wouldn't struggle in our system, cause that is what I see for ones that we are linked with.

In our current system, Suarez would be the perfect player, but apparently their trying to change to 4-3-3 from what I was reading.

I agree to this to an extent. The system has to be tweaked for the likes of Dzeko and will need to be if Cavani arrives. The thing that is annoying about Dzeko is that it looks like he isn't trying and at times hes usless at holding the ball up, his first touch is poor, he passes with no effort and loses it, his ridiculous shots when he should pass and his inability to use his body effectively for his size. That is all down to his attitude and it is probably because he doesn't think he gets enough chances and knows he might be going.

heads gone, he's lost the plot. His own worst enemy, don't know what's happened to him.

Players are sometimes harshly criticised. BUT when players make NO effort, the fans are entitled to ask questions.

No need for that tonight, and his post-match comments were a pisstake aswell.

Why should i try and defend him time and time again, if he can't put the effort in?

Shit attitude, lazy attitude.

Sell and replace asap.

The problem is, we actually need someone like Dzeko even if he doesn't fit the system. It gives our attack another dimension. When the opposing team prepares the defense for us, Dzeko is the one that has them wondering about aerial threat, wide attacks and set pieces.

Prior to arriving at City I think he fully believed he would be getting first team action. I can understand his frustration, as he's a top class striker with unique properties that could be tearing up goal charts in any league. Instead he's been struggling to make an impact and secure the spot in the starting 11. While at the same time scoring heaps in the international games.

I don't get the hate he gets. He is obviously trying. He is actually a model nice guy off the pitch and known for being unselfish on the pitch, professing his love for City many times. Give the guy (not you specifically) some room to vent his frustration, seriously, he scored after a long (for him) drought.

Hahahaha you guys are ridiculous. Without Dzeko you guys wouldve lost early on in the 2011 run for the FA Cup. You wouldve lost to a 10 men QPR team 3-1 and settled for second. You wouldve dropped a lot of points this season and last season. Go look at hid performances in the past for Wolfsburg and recently for this national team. The man is a quality player that doesnt get any credit from you delusional "diehard City fans". You criticize every touch he has and then when your other "top" players perform poorly you cut them some slack. Same goes for your silly manager. Worst manager Ive seen in some time. The lineups the man puts out, the formations, the style of play..etc are all poor. He has great players at City and has no clue who goes where and how to use them. Mancini ruins quality players careers. Benches in form players and then complains about that player when they play poorly. Embarrassing. From the fans to the manager. Embarrassing. Now I understand why all teams/supporters hate the Manchester teams/fans.

but surely someone like Cavani who would offer more pace, more technical ability, and a wider range of abilities in addition to that physicality would be what we need. A combination of the finesse of Aguero/Tevez and physicality of Dzeko (and is more clinical with his opportunities). Maybe I haven't seen enough of Cavani but this is what he seems like to me. I understand the support of Dzeko and feel that when he moves away he will rediscover his form but at the same time I don't quite understand the criticism of Cavani.

I have nothing against Cavani. I think he may even be a better fit than Dzeko. But it's always a gamble. On paper Balotelli was supposed to tear it up here too.
