The way we are playing at the moment doesnt suit him. Hitting long hopeful balls up from the back doesnt play to his strengths. Just because he is a big guy, doesnt mean he should be winning headers and holding up play.

We see the best from Dzeko when we play quick attacking football. Just like when we played Norwich and he had two within minutes. Just like the goal yesterday etc.

Thought he did fantastic to adjust himself to finish yesterday. The ball was played just behind him.

Out of all our strikers, I would rather have him finishing the chances than any of the others. Best finisher we have. Just a shame he is not used in the right way for a lot of the time

Dzeko could score more goals but guys, there were no enough asists for him. Every time when he had a chance to asist, he did it no matter if it is for Aguero, Tevez or Silva. I think Edin is enough lucky to score 12 goals when we look at games that he started, minutes that he played and chances that others creates for him. City's midlefield is awfull at the moment, there is no creation and with that midlefield CIty attack cant expect to have chances for scoring goals.

After last night, this thread, and all other Dzeko/Kun/Tevez threads might as well be abandoned - as you could all finally see what has been our problem the ENTIRE SEASON (just escalated last night)...

Our beautiful midfield, where attacking and creativity-wise Silva is the only one who even deserves to be on this team.

No midfield = strikers will struggle. Fact.

See Kun's "drop-off" from last season, or Tevez's for that matter.

We can even get RVP, RIGHT NOW it wont matter....he will just roam around 16 yard box with 0 usable passess...and will have to pull out some miraculous shit like Kun vs. Liverpool to score.

Completely overrun in the midfield. Not last night but for a while now...

Strikers, and Edin Dzeko - are the least of this team's problems.

Good post Eagles fan. There are far more urgent problems than the fact Edin just keeps on scoring. Our midfield was woeful and just doesn't appear up for a fight. Can Samir and Silva play in the same team, I am not sure. Barry will never have another game like that surely. Lescott is no longer the force he was and no wonder after the drop in confidence he's suffered. Joe Hart looks very shaky and error prone. Kun is not going to get the twenty plus goals he scored last year.

It's looking like Edin will surpass the number of goals he scored last year though.

I think serious questions must be asked of our disastrous transfer policy in the summer. How can we spend £50 million and go backwards. Incredible.
