no they were all too busy being shocking
I just thought conceeding 2 away goals to a team who was 18th in the league when we are 3rd was a bit surprising considering this was a final and we were at home.
We got the win in the end a fair play to the lads but we have a task on our hands if they score first in the second leg with them having two away goals.

Fantastic player, easily the best player on the pitch.

Fantastic player, easily the best player on the pitch.
Was he the lad who was providing the pinpoint 50/60 yard cross-field passes? Very impressed with him if so.
Seeing as our more experienced first team has struggled at times with the finer detail of playing a high defensive line I guess we shouldn't be surprised that the U21 back line looked lost - for the first 30 minutes at least. Any ball beyond the high line and we were struggling, they had a quick strong target man to aim at and he caused us problems all night.
As others have said I thought Drury was our best player, just a pity that Bytyqi had a bit of a 'mare with his crosses as they combined well down our right side. On the left we seem to have replicated the first team situation, one solid defensive LB in Leigh and a very dangerous crosser in Angelino. Fofana also made a big impact when he came on, not afraid to run at defenders and shoot.
All in all a very enjoyable 90 minutes, I can't wait for the Minihad to open, I'll be able to get to a lot more of these games.
