EDS vs Leicester

7 under 18’s started that match and 2 more came on as sub. Whilst most of them won’t make it here, the future is incredibly bright.

Such a shame about his red card - he surely would have been involved in the FA Cup matches without it.
He was eligible for the first team while suspended. THB got a red last year and played for the first team a couple days later

Yes but I guess the club thought maybe that they should not reward him as his red was pretty petulant iirc. I cannot remember what THB was sent off for but guess that it was not as daft as Delap's red?

There are lots of other EDS players whose performances would justify rewarding them so a fine line for the club to tread. I think all of us are eager to see Delap given a chance though - he is very different from any of the senior players and could be a great option for us.

It was undoubtedly the nature of the red card that affected the decision. It's a good lesson to learn because he is a natural centre forward and the 'type of player' that we do not have in the first team, giving us an additional option, when needed.

It was his 2nd red of the season as well, was the 1st for violent conduct? Can't honestly remember TBH. Needs to learn to cut them out.
