He’s strong enough but doesn’t seem to know how - or more importantly when - to use it in his favour when it comes to creating his own space/chances or being an outlet.

I agree actually and the worrying thing is that he has gone backwards in that area a bit. First season he had so much confidence in himself he basically bullied the league.

It is a credit to him that he still score bucketloads without that "aura" though

He did, but you surely understand what he means? Haaland inside the box is lethal, anything outside of it he struggles, especially against better teams. Isak this season has gave Van Dijk and Saliba the run around, which is tough to do.
