I no he left and all that but we need a creative midfielder and thats pretty much obvisous. He had such good vision on the ball and could create something out of nothing. I no Stevie Ireland is that sort of player on form, and to stop me getting slated i do like stevie and dont think hes shit.
There is also players such as hamsik whose being talked about but i think elano is a better option, hes had prem experience and think about how much more of the ball he would have with barry or nige behind him.
Just a thought....

Think he would of excelled in the team we've had this season. Lets be honest he was playing with a lot of shite when he was with us. It's hard for a creative player to shine through consistantly when the people you're playing with are not on the same wave length. Only Johnson when he was fit and petrov were upto standard, surrounded by players of the quality of Tevez adebayor bellamy etc and constantly being fed the ball by de jong and barry i think we would of got 4th comfortably with somebody like him. Can't see him ever coming back, he's a great talent but there's players we can attract now of the same mould that are as good if not better.

Gourcuff would be my main target.
