A loan fee? Sure. Or do you mean a fee a year from now? Sure, if that's the arrangement. I guess we can buy a central defender next year. Don't know if they'll allow us to retroactively apply his performances to this year.

Inter paid us a loan fee with an obligation to buy Jovetic couple of seasons ago it shouldn't be a major issue with Mangala either.

I understand why he refuses to move to a club struggling but at the level of wages offered it would surely be better to play every game and then move on once his career is re-established. Also DeBoer is a decent coach - Wasting the best years of his career is very short sighted. I would have thought London would be attractive to him but hey ho - can't see him playing more than 6 games this year with us so enjoy your pay sunshine as you wander round the EDS.

It could be that his agent is advising him, rightly or wrongly, to sit tight for a few hours.

I'm aware. That in no way contradicts my statement that we seemingly are constrained by finances from bringing in another defender unless he goes. Now, if the Sanchez transfer is totally off, sure, there may be room to wiggle. If things go according to plan, Mangala must be sold before we buy.

Like I said, we should review Inter's offer for the next few weeks and then make a decision.

Feel sorry for Mangala. Inter....yes...then no. Palace....yes...then no. Probably end up at Brighton with us paying 95% of his wages at this rate.
