Eliaquim Mangala

Yes, I read that when you posted and it's no hard feelings from me that we disagree. I'm not a huge Evans fan. Mangala is at least two disasters per game waiting to happen. I guess we'll start Fernandinho or maybe Yaya or Danilo in central defense if things get bad with injuries and/or suspensions. That's preferable to putting Mangala anywhere near the pitch.

There is probably still a chance Mangala will still be moved on (albeit on loan).

Yep, although I would consider not sanctioning it if I were City simply to deter Inter and the other Italian clubs from this tactic in the future. It wouldn't be to spite the player, but to put a stop to that nonsense.

Well since Evans isn't happening I'd doubt we would loan Mangala to Inter AND Tosin to Sunderland. Surely at least one of them is staying.

I know it's the mail but on their breaking banner it is saying he agreed to sign, 23 million.

I don't think Mangala will be in Peps good books.

To say the least.

For me Mangala is very unsuited to us and will rarely feature, disastrous signing that will not leave even on the same money. Don't understand the guy.

Slight silver lining is that Evans wasn't much better.

He's really not that bad. Evans would have been better, but Mangala sticking around is far from a disaster.

And I don't think Pep believes he is either - he's been on the bench in every league game so far, and that wouldn't have been the case had Pep not believed he could do some kind of job if called upon.
