Liverpool out in the group stages.

Chelsea out in the Last 16.

United and Arsenal out in the Quarter Finals.

Not good enough, England need a decent team in the Champions League next season.

;)

And when we eventually do it..and we will, it'll be for us, not the fuckin country that has sneered at our ambition.. Just hope we all rememer that.

My United fan mate couldn't believe I wasn't supporting United because they're an English club. He said if Liverpool or City got to the Champions League final next season against non-English opposition he'd be supporting them. Deluded.

It did just occurr to me that the next English team to kick a ball in the UEFA champions league could, more than possibly, be the mighty blues.

English? The rag commentator tonight for ITV1 speaking as though the result tonight was a major dissapointment for England as a country... Am I mising something here?
Scum not progressing tonight has allowed more Rest for Rooney and more Hunger for The World Cup...
I cheered when Bayern won, not many english players were in that team tonight, only English connection was a irish descendant scouser and some stadium outside of manchester. oh yea and Carrick who can't even get in the England team... Give me Lescott over Rio any day of the week.

Precisely. I can't quite remember how it works, but if we finish fourth, we'll have a qualifying round or two to play, meaning we'll be the first of the top four to appear.
