Emiliano Sala - Cardiff suing Nantes for £100m - court hearing today (P25)

This is beyond wrong what Cardiff are doing, all that upset bollocks once a bluebird all the tears, a very big turd of a club, no one will forget what they are doing to this transfer saga.

Rent a gob Warnock seems very quiet now. He was allover the place after the death milking (perhaps I'm being unfair) the situation.

If this was City I'd be outraged but for some reason I'm less that shocked this horrible club have/ tried to wriggle out of this situation.

I wholly believe that in similar circumstances our club would have been a lot more empathetic and probably very generous to his grieving family.
 
I hope we get a premier league goal scoring record against these shallow ****s.
 
Absolutely appalled over Cardiff's refusal to pay up. Hope they get shafted in court and get relegated whilst we're at it. It's an absolute disgrace really and I can't believe it's not getting more publicity.

I think it would be getting a whole lot more publicity if it was Nantes that owed the money!

Everybody knows that Cardiff are massively in the wrong to be arguing this and should pay up but it seems like the media are keeping this point of view abit hush hush

This is very true. I'm not a French speaker but does anyone know what sort of coverage this is getting across the water?

Cardiff devrait annoncer à la Fifa que le contrat de 17 millions d’euros qu’il avait accepté de payer à Nantes pour le transfert d’Emiliano Sala est devenu « nul et non avenu » après sa mort dans un accident d’avion, a annoncé ce lundi le Daily Telegraph.
Selon le quotidien britannique, Sala a signé un contrat avec Cardiff qui a été rejeté par la Premier League et est décédé avant la signature du contrat révisé, ajoutant qu’il existe un différend sur le fait qu’il ait accepté de signer le nouvel accord, ou non.
source proche de Cardiff a déclaré que l’accord stipulait que les autorités galloises et françaises du football devaient confirmer aux deux clubs que Sala « était enregistré comme joueur du Cardiff City FC et que le certificat de transfert international du joueur avait été rendu public », est-il également indiqué dans l’article.

Cette même source a déclaré que cela ne s’était pas produit avant la mort de Sala ajoutant que « l’accord de transfert entre Cardiff et Nantes était soumis à plusieurs conditions ».

« Si aucune (de ces conditions) n’était remplie, le contrat serait reconnu nul et non avenu, sans paiement dû. Nantes a proposé cette clause. Ils ont demandé la stricte notification de ces exigences », a-t-elle ajouté.

Nantes aurait l’intention de contester la version de Cardiff, affirmant que le club avait rempli les formalités administratives requises.

Réagissant à ce nouvel élément, un porte-parole de la Fifa a répondu qu’elle avait reçu le 26 avril une plainte du FC Nantes concernant le transfert d’Emiliano Sala, que la procédure était en cours et qu’elle ne pouvait pas en dire plus à ce stade.

L’avion qui transportait Sala a disparu des radars le soir du 21 janvier au large de l’île de Guernesey, au retour d’un voyage express de Cardiff, où le joueur venait de signer, vers Nantes, pour saluer une dernière fois ses coéquipiers au centre d’entraînement de la Jonelière et prendre quelques affaires.

Son corps avait été retrouvé à bord de l’épave de l’avion, par 67 mètres de fond, et récupéré le 7 février, alors que celui du pilote de l’appareil, David Ibbotson, reste introuvable.
