Nothing against the girl but, apart from being easy on the eye and lucking out in one tournament, why the fuck is she front and centre so often in the news? Bang average tennis player.

She's had more coaches than National Express.

Suppose it's modern "Journalism"

Because there's no-one else, I'd guess. At least in singles tennis. Let's be honest, she's won one more major than Tim Henman ever did, and he was the face of British tennis for over a decade.

Jack Draper is about to move into the Men's Top 5.
Got to win something though or he's not going to be higher profile than her. She's also got a better record than him in every major except the Australian Open, although other than the US Open, neither seem to have done particularly amazingly. Hasn't she had a lot of injuries though?

Jack Draper is progressing amazingly well, just lost the final in Madrid , he’s a brilliant player.

Top Googling or was it Wikipedia ;)

Other than Murray she's our only grand slam winner in about half a century isn't she?

Most of the injuries are in her head.

We had a few in ladies singles and men’s doubles. Women mainly in the sixties with Wade in 1977 Wimbledon.
Sue Barker won the French open in 1976.

She's not even British for fuck sake, reminds me of the wankathon that none British twat Rudeski used to get.

Takes a lot to win a grand slam, she did well I am not surprised the media love her.
Exactly. In tennis and golf you can win a bunch of tournaments but the majors are the only thing that really matters to the general public and hence the media.
