Empty seats in north stand/family stand

I suspect they are tickets given out for free to various local sporting clubs, the tickets go down as a sale but obviously some of these freebies arent turning up.I sit in the family stand with my lad and often see groups of young people all with there matching training tops on.
You wouldnt get three or four rows together un occupied if it was just a few stay away families with better things to do on a match day.

If I get the a ticket in North Stand I go round to the South Stand instead.

I'm a non ST Holder due to working 50% of weekends. Another lad I know does the same job as me in another store but has a ST, so probably misses a few.

Some comments on here are ridiculous!

Removeable barriers?!?! Some people want to experience good atmosphere!

I went to Bayern midweek and my ticket was in the North Stand had a good view but it is just not for me.. Shite atmosphere and kids running up and down every 2 mins! Dont get me wrong the family stand is a great idea but need reallocating. You can even see it when watching city on the telly kids running about not even bothered about the game! You never see this when watching any other teams always full stands because there family stand allocation is alot smaller. The only way to stop this is making the singing section alot bigger and also the south stand into a singing section and the corner of the colin bell stand. This way the family stand would be alot more compact and people wouldnt leave there seats as more would become available in preffered spots!

So we've established the cause of the Family Stand empty seat issue....

Fans doubling up in other blocks
tickets not being sold on.

Solution:

Ticket Exchange on mcfc.co.uk

Make it easy for fans to sell on their seat.

And we all know what we need down at the other end:

Safe Standing.

Rail Standing is desperately needed where we are.... This season has been fucking awful in "etihad stadium" as ShowSec have whinged constantly telling us to sit down.

You can also see SS patrons staring at away fans for 90 mins. Some people mix up atmosphere with abusing away fans and not getting behind your team. SS atmosphere is shite and barely audible from the North stand. Away fans usually always louder.

WTF! Since when? All that fannying about moving stands and it's now not part of the family stand?

The North Stand is still the family stand in its entirety, my brother is in level 1 and it's still the FS.

this season i've noticed an awful lot of adults clearly without kids in tow queueing to get in north stand level 1 so i'm not so sure. i was also under the impression that the original condition of family stand tickets was that adults weren't allowed in unless accompanied by at least one under-16.

That's true. I tried to get a friend a ticket for the Wolves game and was told there was only one ticket left and that was in the family stand so because I wouldn't be accompanied by a child then I "obviously" couldn't have it.
That explains one of the empty seats at that game!

Thats all good and well but id rather sit in the corner of the east at 110 or the south stand than the family stand as the atmosphere is shit. Yes there are people who sit there for the trouble but the majority sit there to create a good atmosphere.

Theres a fair bit of irony in your post Cheadle-Blue, you work it out i`m sure your bright enough.

Ive moved from SS116 to 110 and I am gutted I moved, every single match the row i am in is easily double the people for the number of seats, it would be all well and good if it was terrace, but it isnt and the money is for a decent space to stand in, looking forward to moving back to 116 next season.

Its an irish supporters club. They have a block of tickets together and dont make it over for every game
