Empty seats song?

Quite like the invisible man song for this Sat at the Etihad, a sell out again, yet apparently we can't give the tickets away nowadays. Of course, we're not really here.

Followed by:

Ohhh, Man City, the only team with empty seats in the Premier League!

and of course

Get your markers, get your markers, get your markers out for the lads!

Good song but the tune is nicked (West Brom started it) just like 99% of new songs these days so no different to most you're mentioning really.

True, great video of wba fans a few months ago having a go at Villa fans. Same words at the beginning just ending in "but now your throwing cabbages, cabbages at home"

I like the empty seats song, was kept going for over 10 mins at huddersfield sounded great. And followed by " three nil, to the empty seats"

Do prefer the songs unique to us, far better than the songs every club sings.

Need to get shut of the two silvas ( gold song ). Shite song when it came out from Spandau and every club has there version. It is not a terrace chant, wrong beat altogether.

I can't wait to sing that at a Champions League final - ideally on 1st June this year at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Along with:

City, Manchester City, nobody knows our name

Shoved right back at those rags that belittled us for years!

“If you’re watching on the telly you’re a c*nt” has absolutely nothing to do with empty seats and games not selling out. It was first sung more in jest than anything else at Juventus away in 2010 - another dead rubber that was a sell out in the away end - and it’s been kicking around in a minor way ever since. I think Scall who used to post on here was responsible. Me and my mates are always winding each other up with it - if I’m not going to a particular away game, for example, I’ll tell them that I’m being a c*nt as I’m watching it on the telly and when I started it off at Burton the other night, it was done more as a dig at my mates who weren’t there than anything else, but these days it’s also a nod to all the City-haters who tune in to our matches.

Cheers for setting the record straight, it might shut up a few of the snowflakes on here that seemed to think it was a dig at them ! City songs, or the best ones at least, have always been funny/sarcastic and often taking the piss out of themselves.
