Honestly on a free transfer I’m ok with it. Can be a solid player and is still only 23. If it doesn’t work out we can sell him on for a profit. My guess is he’d be worth a pretty penny if we were buying him

I don't understand this though. There are better options for CB that are actually CB and not a converted CB like Can is, like for example Lucas Hernandez or Jose Gimenez. Granted Can will come on a free transfer, but still I don't think it's worth the hassle to convert him to CB. It's not like we're shorting for cash, you know what I mean?
