Are you supposed to get covered from head to toe in paint when painting the ceiling?? It is not funny!! How do you do it without getting it everywhere!!

Sounds like the paint is too watery, if it's a good quality paint it shouldn't drip as much.

Should have used ''Matt'' excuse the pun!! Its Dulux,good stuff, i think it is my rollering technique, maybe a bit hasty!

You could be putting too much paint on the roller as well.

I remember the day i was painting an office at work ready for a high ranking meeting the following morning , and i climbed down the ladders , singing away with my paintbrush in hand , only to put my right foot in a large tub of white emulsion which i'd completely forgotten was there ...... next thing there were white emulsion 'bootmarks' all over the navy blue office carpet ... the more i tried to scrub them off , the worse they got !
