Ellis Plummer was said to have had a fantastic debut for St. Mirren too, but that's a lower level (SPL).

Huws - Fantastic debut so far, great engine in his tracking back and a very composed touch on the ball, looks like he wants to go forward at every chance too.

41mins: Huws composed 30 yards out being chased down, plays it wide to McArthur who crosses deep to the back post, but Riera is beaten in the air by Federici who claims.

37mins: Emyr Huws looking composed on the ball and he's putting in one hell of a shift. Tracking back really well to help out his defenders.

20mins: Outstanding tracking back from Huws gets a round of applause as he out runs the Reading attacker, gets in front of his man running towards his own goal down the right and wins a free kick.

12mins: Another free kick to Latics around the edge of the area as Emyr Huws dances between midfielders and is tripped. Huws will swing it in.

Sounds like Reading shut him down into the 2nd half, but for the most part a strong debut, and he seems more than adept at that level and sounds like someone we can at least make money from.

Yes, it's for an initial 6 months. However we've also got Zuculini so it's anyones guess what happens in January.

Like the look of this lad, seems very assured on the ball and decent passer of the ball .Playing in oneof the better teams in the championship will give him more confidence and hopefully will make him a better player.

I think this will be a great move for Huws.

He did well at Birmingham and I can see him progressing a lot at Wigan and becoming one of the best midfielders in the Championship.

Perfect choice of club to loan him to IMO.
