Listening to McManaman & Steven Warnock talking about the atmosphere at Anfield got me thinking about all the unfounded clichés & myths that abound in football.

The "famous Anfield atmosphere" (esp. "under the lights") is one.

    United's "DNA" is another.

    Then there's Pochettino's, "success".

    Others?

It's 28 years since Liverpool last won the league.
Oh sorry my mistake, that's not a myth. It is 28 years since Liverpool last won the league.

United never sack managers and they've always played free flowing football.

That City have never been a big or successful club. Oddly pernicious, that one.
