Fair few Blackburn Rovers kids in that set-up.

haven't we got the U21s championship as well?

never understood why we need so many youth teams, it just promotes average players being picked to fill squads.

The U-21 Championships are run by UEFA and are European.

The U-20 Championships are run by FIFA and are global.

Generally speaking, the same squad of players will stay together for several years and progress through the various competitions.

They're not good enough, ultimately.

Who isn't good enough?

How good was Drogba at 20 and how good was he at 30?

Those "average players" often make full careers out of football at numerous different levels.
