St George is the patron saint o catalonia

This^^ San Jordi in Catalan which is why the cross of St George is on the badge. Also patron of Milan and they also use the same cross on the badge and on the away shirt itself

Wrong this I'm afraid. Joan Gamper founded Barca, I found this out when I went over there for our friendly with them and we won the 'Juan Gamper trophy'. Really good museum on their stadium tour maps out the history of the club etc.

He was Swiss by the way.
