Can't see Gerrard or Lampard having the legs in 4 years time, not much to replace them with really in central midfield though, can't think of a single player off the top of my head who has similar quality, Milner maybe but still it leaves a lot to be desired of the 'playmaker' role and who can fill it.

If you think we are poor now then the next 1o years or so are gonna be absolutely terrible. What we have got now is nowhere near good enough and what we have to replace it is even worse, with the exception of a couple of players. We always have and always will be a poor international side, its upsetting but at the end of the day my footballing world resolves solely around manchester city football club. Whatever hapens inbetween is quite insignificant really in the scale of things. Roll on august. MCFC !

If Hodgson or Redknapp came in it would be even worse, he can only work with what he has got, which isn't a lot.
Complacency has crept in becasue the players know there are no one else - Gerrard and Lampard have failed to play together for years yet they still keep on playing!

Terry publicly slags off the manager - he can't be dropped as he is the best of a bad bunch!

Didn't think James was that bad actually, but due to his age he needs to be dropped. Maybe part of a big squad to help the younger keepers out.

Terry - shite (see point about Rooney/Lampard below).

Heskey - !

Beckham - what is he doing there, apart from keeping Brand Beckham alive!

Lennon and SWP - probably not good enough for the World Cup (although SWP didn't get much playing time).

Rooney/Lampard - both need to know that their places aren't a given. I'd drop the pair of them for a game or two. They'll come back hungrier (?)

Capello - keep him there. It's his first big tournament and he'll learn from it. I think most of the blame is on the players.
