The problem is introducing them into the first team.
The Premiership is far too cut throat to do it. It's hard for managers to bring through young players because, if a team loses a few games in a row, the manager often gets the sack! Young players won't be world class straight away, they need time, and managers simply aren't afford that time in the Premiership.
If more teams had a stable manager, more young players would come through - I'm sure of it.
It's not just managers it's fans as well. How often on here do you hear people say give a youngster a try. It's a case of sign Johnny foreigner everytime. Am still trying to imagine a World Cup in Brazil that FIFA don't ensure that Brazil win.
