That wasn’t our best side and it wasnt an excellent performance. It was a dull 4-0 win against part timers.

We got the job done, but learned nothing about our second string. They managed to be winning 1-0 before 3 better subs came on and made it emphatic against a knackered amateur team.

We learned that Bamford probably won’t be the backup to Kane.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a far better option for me, the lad has a lot of talent and knack of scoring.

Yeah, not concerned and DCL is a far more natural finisher than Bamford, who should be behind Ings and Watkins in the pecking order.

Our players got some rest before Poland, so it’s all good.

I was simply disputing it being an excellent performance.

As you suggest, we’ll probably feel the same way after the Wycombe match.

Can only play what’s in front of you - we battered them for 90mins and could have won 6/7-0 now, like against Hungary (who France and Germany failed to beat)

Against Andorra? Nothing really. It was a routine win, without us doing anything out of the ordinary. We’ve beaten them with the same score line the three other times we’ve played them.

We didn’t play young kids. We brought in Trippier, Mings, Coady, Henderson and Bamford.

TAA didn't look an upgrade in midfield or at fullback. James did alright.

But do you not think in general England are in a special place at the moment ? The work rate, unity, spirit and in most cases complete dominance of the game.
