Think he needs to come short and demand the ball off Rice and whichever clogger is next to him. Does look like hes expecting it like he'd usually get the ball from our players.

Agree and the idiot still insists on 2 holding players in centre mid which is so negative.I'm not being funny but anyone who picks Connor Gallagher for a squad, let alone a starting 11, should be sacked immediately !

It’s so easy to just point at any manager and say ‘he won’t win us anything ‘ because the likelihood is we wont. Regardless who we have in the dugout.
1. We have no devine right regardless of how good the players are.
2. Because it’s tournament football, anyone can knock out anyone, only takes a mistake, or a bad ref decision and that’s it you’re out.

Man City didn’t win champions league for ages and they have the best manager and best players in the world. Football is a fickle game. Hence I’d rather just enjoy it and ignore the nonsense and outrage should we dare to lose.

When my eldest was at university and put on placement, she complained to her tutor that the woman she was sent to work with was terrible and everything seemed to be wrong

Still, you never really fancy us to beat a decent side, as we've found out in the tournaments when we get a good side. Southgate just hasn't got the tactical ability to get over the line.

Tonight he can hide behind the fact we weren't at full strength but for me that's not an excuse. That's the reality of football, you often don't get to pick your strongest 11.

I'm sure it'll be the same in the summer. We'll beat who we should and again come unstuck against the first proper side we play.

No too arsed really, I won't expecting much in the summer. I'll just be wanting the season to start again to watch city.
