I think we will beat Iran tomorrow comfortably, something like 3-0. We just have better players than they do, it's as simple as that.

I know people will moan about Southgate not picking Foden, Grealish etc. However, he's picked the players to go to a World Cup final and a Euros final. He's earned the right to pick the team he feels will do what he wants them to do. Also we don't need to try 3 at the back - keep it 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 type formations as otherwise the players can't play it!

I think we will top the group with 2 wins against Iran and the US and a draw with Wales. I expect us and Wales to go through.

He's done better than all the other managers we've had since Sir Alf. I'd argue that other managers have had better XIs as well.

He picked sides to win games and get as far as he could in tournaments and he's done exactly that. Other than winning the World Cup and Euros, it's hard to see what else he could do? It's not like he is blessed with lots of world class talent. We've got lots of good players, but in truth I honestly think only Kane is genuinely world class, and maybe Stones. The rest are good, but as a squad they are a top 8 team I think.

We’ve got players who are very good technically and who can keep the ball at elite level and that’s not often the case with England. Grealish and Foden wouldn’t be out of place in any team in the world and neither will start for England it sums Gareth up. Most international teams are much weaker than they’ve been for years and the draws we’ve had were brilliant. Not sure how we could have failed to beat some of the shite we faced. Defending worked great against any half decent side in Croatia, Belgium, and Italy though. Maybe try attacking and keeping the ball because his defensive plan failed and we’ll meet better sides this time if we advance.

To be fair on the right side Saka probably deserves to start. He’s playing very well for Arsenal and done more than Phil there in the last England game, plus won the spot over Foden in the Euros. To not find a place for Phil Foden in that starting team though whilst goons like Dier and Slabhead might both start says all you need to know about Boregate.

I think there are some very fine players in our squad. Teams have won tournaments with less quality.

We'll qualify top of the group, pretty sure of that, then it's Holland or Senegal next, which could be a lot worse. I think we'll lose to France in the Quarter-Final, but if we don't I'm predicting we'll play Spain in the final.
