Not sure San Marino should be participating at this stage of the qualifiers. That's why the Nation's League was a great idea for developing football in smaller European countries. Might be a bit harsh but don't think this game benefits anyone.

If you're in Southgate's shoes and have a quota of appearances by players of certain clubs to meet, of course you're going to play as many of the shit ones as possible against San Marino.

Fair point...although some of them a so shit they shouldn't be in the squad in the first place!
