14:00 Kick off time (UK). Match takes place in Lens.
Coverage starts at 13:30 on BBC1. Hartson, Ferdinand, Saunders, Shearer in the studio; Savage, Keown and Guy Mowbray on commentary.
Thought I’d put this one up early. I seem to recall there being an England vs Wales thread discussing the time of the match, mods feel free to merge this if you want. Just wanted to post a preview.
Group B as it stands:
England as we know were dominant in the first game, probably some of the best football they played in a tournament for a long time. Most people weren’t happy with the system at the start of the Russia, however, it worked, England just didn’t put their chances away. Biggest question will be if he puts Vardy in the team, either up front with Kane or instead of Kane who was dreadful against Russia. Rumours are he's playing the same 11 that started against Russia. Obviously England will need to keep an eye on Bale but not at the expense of others, believe it or not Wales actually have a couple of decent players outside or Bale.
Goal scorers so far: Dier (1)
Wales on the other hand probably didn’t play as good as England in their opening game but got the all important 3 points and now sit in a great position going into this. They ridden out a difficult period in the match against Slovakia and then went up the other end to score the winner. Wales have a decent team to support their main outstanding player; Bale. Bales had a lot to say in the press, so he's put some unnecessary pressure on themselves.
Goal scorers so far: Bale (1), Robson-Kanu (1)
Think I’ll predict 2-1 England, think this will be a tight game, Wales will sit back, defend and look to counter. England have to put their chances away.
