Hey all fellow blues..

I have been reading a lot of posts in here the last year or so, and I would like to get some help as to which newspapers that are reliable.... I know the sun is shite, but who can be trusted?

As I am from Denmark I don't know all that much about English Newspapers and certainly not enough about their reliability..

thanks :)

most papers can spout nonsence, but the times and the telegraph seem to print a reasonable ammount of truth. If you want accuracy just rely on citys own site and the BBC site, generaly the most accurate and dont make stuff up.

It appears from this that the Guardian and Indy are the most accurate. Not saying much when that's only 30% of the time!

And specifically for City: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.footballtransferleague.co.uk/football_club.aspx?football_club=Manchester+City" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.footballtransferleague.co.uk ... ester+City</a>

Agree with Bingobango, Soccer news is infected by rumour and self-serving statements. Both these papers seem to have journalists prepared to do their own research and to label a story as 'rumour' if it appears to be one.

In general, the smaller the paper the more shit you get.

None of the papers are worth reading, with regards City for 2 reasons.
1st City have plugged most of the leaks(might explain the huge turnover in staff)
2nd In this day and age news travels much quicker than the papers can cope and that means that they have to guess to try to keep up. In short it's a dead media.

The only journalist who actually gets off his bar-stool and writes proper stories is City-supporting David Conn.

There are some with whom the club has a close relationship and will feed them stories. These include Ian Ladyman & Martin Samuel (The Mail) and Oliver Holt (The Mirror).
