How about 18, top team in Championship only one to go up.Permission to play with just 19 teams next season is required.
After that 2 up 2 down, with no play-offs.

One of the four teams on show today will be in the PL next season. If I was them, they should decline the promotion.

Has the Championship always been that bad? Feels like every time I tune in, it's a poor quality 0-0 or 1-0 game. The play-off final last year was the same.

This is the level of the championship.
A lot of understandably critical comments about todays games, but in all honesty, what do people really expect?
This years worst prem team, Sheffield Utd, spent £31 million on players, according to transfer market, & were terrible. My team spent £0 & just about managed to avoid going bust.
The gap between the premier league & the championship is absolutely huge & with the immense difference in money between the divisions, it just keeps getting bigger, as this years promoted teams will no doubt find out.
I don’t know how any promoted team can realistically compete without spending above the levels that ffp allow, but we can only give our best & try to enjoy the ride.
