In this case, it's a partial quote of a greater whole. Witchell was pretty clear that Andrew is still out in the cold and he can't see how he comes back in, but for the rest of the family having the matter done is important.

I don't see how that statement is a problem, as it's not as though the Royal Family have forgiven Andrew. It's possible to be relieved and angry still.

You think a mother should cut off her son for shagging a seventeen year old?

The two things aren’t necessarily one and the same. To classify someone who sleeps with a 17 year old (which would be legal in this jurisdiction) with someone who rapes toddlers is akin to saying a pickpocket is an armed robber.

I only suggested that because on TV this morning, they said at the time, she was underage.

Sorry they are incorrect then as all other reports including the full length programme all state that she was 17 and why would she accuse him of abuse when sex with an underage person is legally rape.

If she really wanted the justice she told the world she wanted, she would have had her day in court, seen him found guilty and not settled for a pay out.

Unfortunately it’s seemingly always about the money these highly publicised cases involving the famous and celebrity.

Alternatively; Royal nonce uses wealth and power to evade a private prosecution after lying through his teeth for years.
